Small town girls are doing great things by fighting with fate, fighting with family, persuading parents, battling relatives. Although there will be thousands of such stories in a metropolis like Delhi, some stories really inspire. It also gives encouragement to those whose dreams die before the wishes of the family.

Shruti is a Freelance Photographer by profession from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Shruti brought this hobby from Saharanpur to Delhi. She says that the hobby of photography was from childhood but this hobby did not have any special place in small towns.

She came to Delhi determined to turn her passion for capturing scenes and moments into a profession. After this, he did professional courses in photography and refined himself. Shruti says that this profession is dominated by men.

It is difficult for women to work here. Sometimes overcrowded and sometimes one has to go for photography in distant areas from the city. It is her choice to shoot photos in dusty, smoke, and difficult conditions, but according to Shruti, many such works were withdrawn from her hands just because she is a woman. Sometimes they have to go for night photoshoots.

Pooja Rai, who hails from a small village in Gorakhpur, is just 22 years old. But the flight of her dreams brought her to Delhi. Be it Ravi Kishan, who is called the superhero of Bhojpuri films, or Surveen Chopra or Preeti Jhingiani, the glamorous girl of History.

These days she is working on medium-budget films. Pooja, an assistant director by profession, says that it is very difficult to move out of small towns and deal with the mentality there. People in the villages still don’t know what I do. Even my work for my father’s friends and brothers and sisters seems to be just time-pass.

Pooja says that I tell people here that I am an assistant director in a film, then the expressions on their faces tell that they do not understand anything special, they ask again what I do. Pooja says that even today the condition of the villages is that if you are not a doctor, engineer, or lawyer, that means you are not doing anything. They do not understand the difference between passion and profession.

Father is in BSF, family members wanted me to get married after the 12th or open a beauty parlor shop in the village. But Pooja felt that her life would end if the family wishes. For this it was necessary to convince the father, to convince the father it was necessary to convince the mother. He expressed his desire to go to Delhi to study and do journalism at his home. But no one believed, in the end, he immediately talked about marriage. Then the family went to Delhi to pursue further studies.

Pooja told that she wanted to become a journalist but insecurity, instability and low possibilities of creativity in the profession turned her towards the film. She told that the pressure of marriage is still there but she wants to give time to her career. She says that marriage is also a part of her career but she is looking for someone who understands her work. Very emotional by nature, Pooja says that I have chosen a profession based on emotion and feelings, but people do not understand my feelings. She says that sometimes there are difficult moments in this profession, you break emotionally. At that time you need family. The family supports you but she does not consider herself so lucky. She says that when you are alone in a city like Delhi, then you have to reconcile yourself after breaking up.
