Now the Himachal Pradesh government has announced a new pay scale for its employees. A government spokesperson has said that now the contractual employees will be regularized in two years. As per the current rule, contract employees are regularized in three years.
Addressing the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of the Himachal Pradesh Non-Gazetted Employees Federation, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced the new pay scale. Shri Thakur said that the new pay scale of the employees would be deemed to be applicable from January 1, 2016. That is, the employees will also get arrears between the year 2016 to the year 2021.
The official spokesperson of the government has said that the revised pay scale of January 2022 will be payable to the employees from February 2022. It is to be known that the central government is also planning to give good news to its employees. At the beginning of the new year, the House Rent Allowance (HRA) of the employees is expected to increase. That is, it is expected that the salary of central employees will also increase in the new year.
43 percent of the budget spent on salary and pension of employees
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has said that his government is spending about 43% of its total budget on providing salaries and pensions to the employees. He said that if the Sixth Pay Commission will be implemented in the state, then it will increase to 50 percent.
