Today i.e. on January 9, Google has prepared a special Google Doodle. The woman to be seen in Google’s doodle is India’s first Muslim female teacher and on her 191st birth anniversary. Google has prepared this best Google Doodle to show its respect to him. Fatima Sheikh, along with social reformers Jyoti Ba Phule and Savitri Bai Phule, started an indigenous library in 1848. It is also considered to be the first girls’ school in the country.
Fatima Sheikh was born on this day i.e. on 9 January 1831 in Pune. She used to live with her brother Usman. When the Phule couple was thrown out of the house by their father in protest against the education of the Dalits and the poor, Usman and Fatima also gave them shelter in their house.
