Beginning her career as a Power Plant Engineer at Rohit Ferrotech Ltd (now Tata Steel and Mining Limited), Lory devoted 7.5 years to the rigorous world of engineering. Her role in commissioning a 2×70 MW captive power plant demonstrated her technical command over instrumentation, DCS systems, and environmental compliance. As one of the few women in such a demanding industrial role, she broke stereotypes and redefined gender norms, proving that determination knows no boundaries.
Despite her engineering background, Lory’s creative soul yearned to tell stories. She transitioned into media and content, contributing as a project journalist and content strategist for reputed national dailies such as The Times of India, Dainik Bhaskar, and Hindustan Times.
