Are Cloth Masks Enough to Protect Against Omicrons? Health experts say…

Today, masks have become a part of our daily lives. However, health experts say that the cloth mask is not enough to fight the new variant of covid, the omicron. Experts also recommend the use of N95 Moscow, a three-layer surgical Moscow.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that the N95 respirator mask can filter out 95 percent of airborne particles and dust particles. Although the surgical mask is slightly looser compared to the N95 mask, it also blocks airborne particulate matter better than the cloth mask. But Liana Wen, a professor of public health at George Washington University, says ordinary cloth masks do not protect against the coronavirus in the air.

But in addition to the surgical mask, a double mask with a cloth mask will provide extra protection. Those who go to crowded places are advised to wear masks like N95, KN95, and KF94. Says Liana.
