Barhi Vidhan Sabha’s MLA cum Request Committee Chairman, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Umashankar Akela has issued a letter on 11.1.2022 on the issue of continuous load shedding by DVC Barhi in Barhi Assembly Constituency. The letter has been issued in the name of the Executive Engineer of DVC. It has been written in the letter that in addition to the Barhi assembly constituency, the DVC has continuously put two and a half hours of load shedding in its command area on one side where the industry has been brought to the brink of closure. At the same time, all the students are being harassed in education and businessmen in doing business.
The MLA has said that during the time of Chief Minister Raghuvar Das of the Bharatiya Janata Party government, about Rs 5000 crore was due to the DVC, at that time not even once in 5 years did the DVC work to put pressure on the government. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress formed the coalition government in Jharkhand, immediately DVC started pressurizing the government to recover money by doing load shedding work at that time.
While giving 5000 crores to the government, only two and a half thousand crores are left in today’s date, again DVC started the work of load shedding continuously, due to which the public is upset in the entire Barhi assembly constituency. Barhi MLA has said that the load setting in Barhi, Chauparan, Padma, and Chandwara in 4 blocks of Barhi assembly should be stopped soon. If the DVC does not turn off the load setting, then the public can agitate. Due to which there will be a possibility of disruption in law and order.
The MLA has expressed hope to the DVC management that DVC will take due cognizance after my letter. If I do not take cognizance, I will be forced to agitate against DVC along with public agitation. In that condition, all their works conducted by DVC will be stopped.
The MLA has also said that the electrical connections are given by the Electricity Department, which is big industries and businesses are open in Barhi. there In Barhi industrial area, DVC is giving a lot of damage to the electricity department by giving electricity itself, the same people who are burning less electricity in their homes. To harass him, DVC is continuously doing load shedding of electricity.
