Cheval Collection signs its first MY Locanda property in Glasgow

Cheval Collection announces the launch of an exciting new urban lifestyle accommodation brand called MY Locanda.

All India, 15 March 2022: Cheval Collection, the serviced apartment specialist with properties across London and Edinburgh has announced the launch of an exciting new urban lifestyle accommodation brand called MY Locanda. The brand’s first property will open in Glasgow in 2024.

MY Locanda properties will offer stylish, design-led, fully equipped apartments in vibrant cities around the world where guests can be immersed in the heart of the local community.

Each MY Locanda property will be curated to reflect its local area and will be a hub for both the local community as well as guests, with distinctive retail and creative activities to appeal to both residents and travellers. This new urban brand will appeal to those with an independent, youthful mindset travelling for leisure or business. The brand will cater for solo travellers, families and groups of friends keen to find a stylish city base where they can feel part of the local environment. Longer stay residents could include students, individuals relocating for business reasons or simply those wanting a regular address in the city. Spacious ground floor communal areas will be ideal for both co-living and co-working including high-speed Wi-Fi, food, drinks and essentials as well as dedicated spaces for business meetings and calls.

MY Locanda Glasgow will be developed as a joint venture between Chris Stewart Group and Cheval Collection and will be sited on a development adjacent to Glasgow City Chambers on George Square.

MY Locanda Glasgow will have 168 keys when it opens in 2024. Designed by Hoskins Architects and 3DReid for the interiors, it will be located in the heart of Glasgow’s business district, just a short walk from Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street stations, the University of Strathclyde and the city’s international finance district. It’s also just a 10-minute drive to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Guests will be able to choose from a range of apartments including 104 studio apartments, 62 one-bedroom apartments, and 2 spacious one-bedroom suites with panoramic views over Glasgow. Both guests and local residents can enjoy a coffee shop, yoga sessions, fitness studio and pop-up entertainment. The stylish building will also be surrounded by a new collection of retailers nearby from Glasgow’s best independent retail, food and leisure operators and artisanal producers.
