Ranchi: Local patients are facing a lot of trouble due to the non-registration of Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore under Ayushman Yojana. A large number of patients in the state want to get their treatment done with Golden Card in CMC, but they are failing in it.

Surgery will have to be done in place of CMC
Sukhdev Kumar Vishwakarma of Silli started his initial treatment by visiting CMC Vellore under Asadhya Rog Yojana. The doctors of CMC gave an estimated cost of around two lakhs as the cost of surgery. The patient came to Jharkhand and prepared a letter for the District Medical Assistance Committee and sought approval for free treatment. But due to no agreement with the CMC, the patient was asked to get treated elsewhere, which added to his troubles.
Many big private hospitals have not been able to join the scheme
Even big private hospitals like Ranchi’s Medica, Medanta, Pulse, Rampyari Super Specialty, Centavita, and Orchid are yet to join the scheme due to delays in claim payments and low treatment packages.
