Coffee with A-star Anchor Chirag Dawar…

Making themed parties & weddings memorable across India

Once upon a time… parties were just food and music, but now parties and corporate events mean so much more with A-star Anchor Chirag Dawar turning them into an ever-lasting memory. Wonder how he does this… is it magic? Not really, it’s an art of weaving people together using his anchoring skills and creating an environment of fun.

Dawar is a self-made, hardworking anchor, who has made his name in the country as A-star Anchor.

In conversation with Times of India, Dawar said, “I started by polishing my skills and taking experience and now, I have anchored over 1,500 events including birthday parties, wedding bashes, baby showers, Mehendi (Henna) ceremonies, corporate events, Haldi ceremony, Sangeet ceremony, pool parties, get-togethers, etc.”

He has anchored parties from first birthdays to 50th wedding anniversaries as well.

“The idea is to make sure that everyone is happy and able to have fun in their own way,” Dawar said. He conducts various fun activities including Antakshri during events.

Dawar also charms up the audience with music, poetry, games, and more. “I have chosen to become an anchor because it is a profession that brings happiness to me and to everyone else around as well,” he said.

Other than being a terrific anchor and a star from Indore shining across India, Dawar is also a singer. “I have learned classical music and often upload songs on insta reels, which is trending. Soon, I am launching my original song, but that’s not my profession, it’s my way of self-growth,” he said.

Dawar works especially for corporate and formal events too. “Most of the time, training and team building activities are looked at as boring events, but they don’t have to be,” he said.

Dawar explained that learning with fun is possible for everyone, even corporate. “I have anchored for several such events and it’s easy to make everything fun if we connect with people,” he said.

Despite his struggle, Chirag Dawar is now a popular name in Indore and across India.

“I love my profession so I always use #LoveMyJob and it has caught on as a social media trend as well,” Dawar said. He truly loves his job and looks at it as an opportunity to bring happiness to family events, wedding functions, pre-wedding events, and birthday parties.
