Kolkata, 13th July, 2024: Hazra Park Durgotsab marked the beginning of the autumnal rituals with the Khuti Puja today, coinciding with the auspicious Eve of Ulta Rath Yatra, signaling the commencement of this year’s Durga Puja festivities at Jatin Das Park (Hazra crossing). Known for its innovative concepts and celebration style, Hazra Park Durgotsab is one of the city’s most captivating pujas. It stands out for its unique pandals and continuous social work throughout the year.
The event was graced by several prominent personalities including Sri Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Minister of Agriculture, Govt of WB; Sri Debasish Kumar, MLA; Sri Sayan Deb Chatterjee, Joint Secretary of Hazra Park Durgotsab Committee; Smt. Trina Saha, Actress; and other distinguished guests.
With the Dhaks playing in the background, Hazra Park Durgotsab ushered in the Durga Puja on the eve of Ulta Rath, celebrating its 82nd edition with grandeur and creativity, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Addressing the media, Sri Sayan Deb Chatterjee, Joint Secretary of Hazra Park Durgotsab Committee, expressed enthusiasm, “After the huge success of the 81st year with its theme ‘Teen Chakar Golpo,’ where we received multiple awards, the entire Hazra Park Durgotsab team is fully energized for this year.
