Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Varun Gandhi removed the word ‘BJP’ from his Twitter bio, wrote a letter to Yogi in the morning

Lucknow: Politics is hot over the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri. Meanwhile, there is shocking news again about Varun Gandhi, MP from Pilibhit, who came into the limelight by writing a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the morning. The word ‘BJP’ has been removed from the bio of his Twitter account. On Monday morning, Varun had demanded a CBI inquiry into the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case and a compensation of Rs 1 crore each to the families of the victims. Earlier in September, he had defended the Kisan Mahapanchayat and suggested the central government to re-negotiate with the farmers.

Actually, BJP MP Varun Gandhi has been continuously raising his voice in support of farmers. Earlier, he had openly supported the farmers’ movement. He had also written a letter to UP CM Yogi Adityanath demanding to increase the support price of sugarcane. When the UP government had increased the sugarcane price by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 350 per quintal, Varun Gandhi again wrote a letter to the CM demanding that the support price of sugarcane be increased to Rs 400 per quintal. On Monday morning, Varun wrote a letter to CM Yogi regarding the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri.

Varun Gandhi had demanded a CBI inquiry into the Lakhimpur Kheri case

He said in the letter- The country celebrated Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday a day before and on the very next day such barbarism was done with the farmers, it cannot be accepted. A CBI inquiry should be conducted into this incident. One crore rupees each should be given to the affected families. Farmers are also our own brothers and if they are protesting under the democratic process for some of their demands, they should be supported. They should be listened to and a peaceful solution should be tried in a Gandhian way.

Hope you will take action against the culprits: Varun

Varun said that this incident is such that the culprits cannot be forgiven. Therefore, in order to bring justice to the families of the victims, a CBI inquiry should be conducted into the incident under the supervision of the Supreme Court and the culprits should be given strict punishment by filing a case under Section 302. I hope that in view of the seriousness of this incident, you will take the trouble of taking immediate action on my request.
