Noida International Airport: Not Only Airport, Jewar Will be Top of These Things Too

Noida International Airport (Jewar): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Jewar International Airport in Greater Noida today. Jewar International Airport will be the fourth largest international airport in the world, Asia and India. It is believed that the name of the Jewar is derived from the name of Maharishi Jawali. But now the identity of Jewar will be completely changed, many important plans including Asia’s biggest airport, one of India’s biggest film city, MRO will start in the next 4-5 years. Today we are telling you about such development plans, which will not only change the identity of Jewar, but will also keep a different place in India-

 

1.Noida International Airport

Noida International Airport (official name of Jewar Airport) will be the fourth largest airport in the world. Which will be built in about 5845 hectares. About Rs 29,650 crore will be spent on its construction. In the first phase, 1,334 hectares of land will have one runway and two terminators. And from there it is planned to start operating air services from September 2024. At least 178 aircraft will be able to fly from here simultaneously.

 

There will be a total of 5 runways at Jewar Airport and initially about 12 million passengers will fly from here every year. The movement of 40 lakh passengers is expected in the first year. And through this one lakh people are expected to get employment in the first phase. 8 domestic flights, while one international flight is planned from the airport in the first year. In the second phase, the airport will have a passenger capacity of 30 million by 2031, 50 million in 2036 and 70 million in 2040. Along with this, there will be connectivity to Jewar Airport from 4 expressways.

2.Industrial Hub

Film City, Medical Device Park, Electronic City, Apparel Park will also be built near the International Airport. Land has been allotted to 69 industrial units here in the Covid-era. Through which an investment of Rs 2300 crore is likely to come. Apart from this, the Aligarh node of the Defense Corridor is also close to Jewar. Simultaneously, a multi-modal logistics hub at Dadri and a multi-modal transport hub at Bodaki are being developed. Due to this large scale industrial development is expected in this area. And the service sector can get a big boom.

3.Film City

Film City is being developed on 1000 acres in Jewar itself. The government has recently approved a DPR of Rs 6000 crore. Films City is being built in Sector-21. Commercial projects, hotels, restaurants, amusement parks, film institutes etc. will be built in Films City. Film City is expected to start shooting by 2024. The film city will be constructed in three phases and by 2029, the film city will be fully completed. And by that time there will be an investment of about Rs 10 thousand crores.

4. Country’s Largest MRO Center

The country’s largest MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling) for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhauling will be built near Jewar Airport. On which investment of about 80 thousand crores is expected. At present the only MRO center in the country is in Nagpur which is quite small. Therefore, the maintenance of all aircraft is not known here. Most of the aircraft in India get their maintenance done in the same country to which they are flying. There are big MRO centers in Sri Lanka and other countries.
