Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons, has expressed happiness that the command of Air India will once again be in the hands of Tata Sons. As soon as the government announced that Tata Sons has won the bid to acquire Air India, Ratan Tata tweeted – Welcome back, Air India.

Along with his tweet, Ratan Tata has also shared a picture of JRD Tata in which he is seen landing from the Air India plane. Ratan Tata has written – Tata Sons has won the bid to get Air India back, this is great news for us. This is also an opportunity for us to take Air India on the path of progress. This is a big opportunity for the Tata Group to achieve great achievements in the aviation sector.

Ratan Tata has written that if JRD Tata was among us today, he would have been very happy because under his leadership the Tata Group started Air India. Significantly, the Tata group started Air India in the year 1932. From the year 1953, it came completely under the control of the Government of India. Now after nearly 67 years, once again the control of Air India has come to the Tata Group.
