WhatsApp will stop working on some Android phones from November 1st; Know like this whether you will be affected or not

WhatsApp will disappear from the mobile phones of many people from Monday i.e. November 1. The messaging platform will stop working on many Android devices as well as iOS devices manufactured by Apple. As a result of the update, affected users will lose all their chats if they haven’t backed up.

WhatsApp has recommended users switch to a supported device to continue using its services. Devices running Android 4.1 and above are included in the list of supported devices for the app. WhatsApp supports the new iOS as well as the KaiOS operating system.

WhatsApp has announced that it will no longer support phones running Android 4.0.4 and older from November 1. Affected users are advised to switch to a supported device and save their chats before reaching the deadline.

How to check if Whatsapp is ending support for your Android device:

You can check if WhatsApp is ending support for your Android device by following the steps given below.

Go to About phone in Settings.

Scroll down to see the Android version running on your device.
If it’s Android 4.0.4 or lower, you should switch to a device with a higher version of Android.
If you are one of the affected users, you can back up your chats. For backup, you can go to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup > Backup from WhatsApp Settings.

With Android 4.1 and later, WhatsApp currently supports iPhones running iOS 10 (supported by iPhone 5 and later models) and newer versions and feature phones such as Jio Phone and Jio Phone 2 with KaiOS 2.5.0. And then running in the subsequent device also.
